Founded by Daniel J. Vellotti, a State and National Chess Champion, the coaching company has trained dozens of chess champions on both the state and national level. As a published author and nationally renowned children's chess trainer of fifteen years, Coach Vellotti has developed an innovative and original "Success in Chess" Training System®. This system includes a comprehensive curriculum and complete set of Workbooks designed to take students ages 3 and up from Beginner to Advanced levels. Coach Vellotti is also the trainer (and proud dad) of both Luke Vellotti and Carl Vellotti. Luke is currently recognized as the #1 rated 14 year-old chess player in the United States, and a 5x All-American Chess Team Member. Carl is an Expert-level player and a 2x High School Chess Champion.
Coach Vellotti's proprietary "Teaching and Learning" storytelling method allows all children to feel comfortable in playing and improving their game. Programs, classes, camps, tournaments and other events feature unique lesson plans so that students can learn chess strategies and tactics in an exciting and action-packed way.
